I feel as if time has suddenly shifted into overdrive. Life certainly has a way of speeding up and slowing down at certain points in all our lives. When December comes around, I always feel as if I want to push the “pause” button. I love the feeling at Christmas time. I love it when I can have a silent night at home sitting by the fire, listening to Christmas music, looking at the lights on the tree and sipping on a warm cup of this Caramel Spiced Cider.
Caramel Spiced Cider
1 (64 oz.) Apple Cider
1 teaspoon Apple Pie Spice
1 (20 oz.) Caramel Ice Cream Topping
In a large stock pot, or slow cooker stir together the cider, half the jar of caramel topping as well as the apple pie spice. Bring to a low boil, then reduce heat to low. Just before serving, pour a tablespoon of the caramel topping into the bottom of each glass. Pour hot cider over top, sprinkle with cinnamon, add a cinnamon stick. *You can also add a dollop of whipping cream, if desired.
